To locate a lost mouse cursor on Windows, you can enable a built-in feature that creates animated rings around your pointer when you press the CTRL key. On a Mac, the default feature temporarily enlarges the cursor when you shake the mouse back and forth. Windows: CTRL Key Locator & PowerToys

Windows offers two major ways to track down your cursor: the classic built-in CTRL key setting and an advanced spotlight tool via Microsoft PowerToys. Method 1: The Built-in CTRL Key Finder Open Settings by pressing Windows Key + I.

Click on Bluetooth & devices in the left menu, then select Mouse on the right side.

Scroll down to the Related settings section and click Additional mouse settings. In the pop-up window, click the Pointer Options tab.

Under the Visibility section, check the box for Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key. Click Apply and then OK to save.
